Sunny afternoons

I love how our Art times turn into such peaceful, sun-soaked afternoons that seem to go on forever... I think most of the time eldest chicken and I are the only one actually doing the activity suggested in the book, but oh well....

Holidays and birthdays

Our holiday away was somewhat rained out, but we had a good time playing indoor games, drinking ridiculous amounts of hot chocolate, eating cinnamon toast, reading Oliver Twist, and teaching my eldest to knit. Then we came back in time for the July birthday run. So now my youngest little chicken is 6! And my son, 8!
