A good read

I do love a good book. I was showered with them on my birthday (thank you!). I enjoyed reading these two novels: The Secret Life Of Bees, and The Time Travellers Wife.

And I'm getting stuck into these wonderful books: 2 more out of Bethel church from Bill Johnson and Kevin Dedmon, and Geoff Waugh who is a bit more local!

We were at a Bill Johnson conference this last weekend, which was awesome!

The never ending cycle of caterpillars

We found some very interesting caterpillars on our lime tree this afternoon. Astonishing looking things, really. Well enjoy the pics, because by the time you read this, they'll be smushed. ;)

I like this last picture, even though the caterpillar is out of focus. There's something I like about those wispy strands of hessian that have wrestled free...

I have to show you some pictures my little chickens drew for my card today. Littlest chicken's is a many legged spider. My boy's picture is of himself yesterday - giving me a fright by coming in the house with blood all over the side of his face. Thankfully Don came home at exactly that moment and could take him down to the hospital to get that blue gooey stuff on the wound (can you tell I don't have any sort of medical degree?).

Don said it reminded him of being a young boy at school, drawing a card to send to a classmate in hospital. The picture he drew, of course, was of the accident she had been in, complete with blood everywhere! It's something inbuilt, isn't it??

I'm growing my patience today...

.. or should I say testing it... by trying to take photos of a moving beetle on my littlest chicken...
