Little red car

When I first started this blog I thought it would be about sewing. But it's not. As you can tell.

I have discovered some things about myself along the way, however. One is that I like exploring new things, so usually once I have created something once I really can't sum up enthusiasm to do it again and again. Which explains why my dreams of setting up a little stall of home-sewn goods has never taken off the ground. Sew a handbag once or twice, then I can't bear to look at it again. And could explain the veggie patch sitting dormant in the yard. Fault or feature? No idea.

Homeschooling is great, because the children are all different, and it's constantly changing. Photography is great, because each new photo requires creativity.

What does this have to do with little red cars? Not a lot. But it breaks up the text nicely, eh?

Feeling the love

I'm feeling the love today. My boy has given me lots of hugs. Eldest chicken brought me a slice of chocolate cake this morning, and I felt very grateful for her thoughtfulness and generosity. It was quite lacking in the icing department, but she did inform me that it had been hygienically removed before making it's way into her mouth! LOL. Then this evening my littlest chicken looked me in the eye and said "Mummy, you are really clever!" Awwwww! So I'm savouring the moment. Writing it down, so when there's ... ah... other types of family moments I can ponder this one instead!

Littlest chicken needs no bribery to hop in front of the camera. (Eldest child negotiates a fee before sitting). So here she is, proudly displaying that she is up to reader number 19, brought to you by the phoneme 'ar'.

Frozen Action part 2

I've managed to capture some 'splash' photos today! (Last night's photography class helped!)

I was going to give the children the day off today, but when I emerged in the morning they were half finished already... Go figure. I think they all have some projects they are keen to get into. So we soldiered on, and every time the sun peaked out from behind the clouds I called break time so I could take some photos!

Action photography....

... is difficult, and requires great patience.... (a bit more than I have, I think!)
