The children have all gone to cricket with daddy, and here I am in the house by myself! (Trying not to put too many exclamation marks...!) I don't want to waste the quiet by doing house-work - I think I'll read instead. Although I could cook dinner....? Nah.
Last week chicken no.1 read the Narnia Chronicles, and in her long and detailed discussions about it afterwards (I'm trying to be polite here) I discovered I had forgotten a lot of the details. So I'm plunging back into it again. I love good children's books!
Now to find where she put the book... She keeps disappearing with it to re-read her favourite bits...
